In the distance is Half Dome, the distinctive rock formation in Yosemite National Park that towers over 4400 feet above the valley floor. This photo was obtained from a video camera that Dan Lyle has mounted in the back yard of his neighbor in Yosemite Valley. The camera is always on and the image is updated to his web server via an automated system every 15 minutes from dawn to sunset. This image was captured on the afternoon of 9/19-99.
